Lights Lacquer Core Collection

Lights Lacquer's first collection of 2026 is their Core Collection. This is meant to be colors that they feel you need. The collection consists of 5 new shades and 7 returning bestsellers. I purchased 8 shades, one of them being a backup, and another I thought I had before, but turned out I didn't. The last two are shades I already had (along with the backup bottle of a color). Please excuse my cuticles. I was having an allergic reaction to dish soap.

Let's start with the new shades. This is Daisy Dukes. This is described as a bright cornflower blue. This is beautifully opaque in two coats. You can probably get away with one if you have short nails.

Next is Is Butter A Carb? This is described as a pastel butter yellow. It is opaque in two coats. You can get away with one on short nails but yellows usually need two coats.

Next is Cry Baby. It is described as a pastel baby blue. Two coats is all that is needed to be fully opaque.

Next is Strawberry Boba. This is described as a baby pink crelly. It needs 3-4 coats to be fully opaque. I used three coats in the swatches.

Next is Apartment Purple. This is a color that came out in the FRIENDS collab a couple of years ago. It was called The One Where. This lavender polish is fully opaque in two coats.

Next is As If! This is the shade I thought I already had because I remember when it was released but turned out I didn't have it. This is described as a candy apple red and is opaque in two coats.

Next is Soulmate. I have been wanting this shade since it went out of stock. This is described as a light flamingo pink crelly. I used three coats in the swatches. I think this is so cute for summer.

The last polish I purchased is Clueless, a sheer pink jelly. I used three coats for the swatches. This is my go-to when I want a "pallet cleanse" or a bit of color on my nails without it being too noticeable. I had to get a backup for it. The bottle used is the one I already have.

Cherry Wine is a deep cherry red polish. This color needs 3-4 coats to be fully opaque.

Counting Sheep is a soft ivory sheer polish with a jelly finish. I used three coats in the swatches.

The formulas on the polishes were all great and easy to work with. The collection is still in stock. The only colors I did not get from the new polishes was Extra Dirty, which is an olive green polish and That's the Ticket, which is a red orange. Which are your favorites?
